    Conway Stewart 27 (Stock#2924)

The Conway Stewart 27 had a long production run, from 1952 to 1963. This example is in the Grey Hatched pattern. It has a diamond clip, a single broad cap ring and a white metal clip retaining stud. It is a substantial pen at 13cm capped and 16cm posted. There are no cracks, major scratches or bite-marks but the gold plating shows some wear, especially on the clip. The cap and barrel threads are good and the pen closes firmly with a single turn. The large original No 5 nib is a firm fine. A new sac has been fitted and the pen fills and writes well (see writing sample).
