Conway Stewart 84 Set, Boxed (Stock#2806)

The Conway Stewart 84 set was made from the early fifties to the mid-sixties. The pen measures 11.9cm capped. The cap and barrel threads are good and the pen closes firmly with one and a quarter turns. The gold plating is excellent throughout. The marbled blue with gold veins pattern is striking. The barrel imprint is crisp and unworn. The 14ct Conway Stewart nib is a fine firm. A new sac has been fitted and the pen fills and writes well (see writing sample).

The pencil is also in very good condition. It is in full working order and contains lead.

The red box, in a pattern reminiscent of batik, is worn but sound. In all, this is a splendid Conway Stewart 84 pen and pencil set.
