    Conway Stewart Universal 479 (Stock#2761)

The Conway Stewart Universal 479 had a long production run and this one is from the late 1930s. It is in a particularly attractive dark green and black marbled pattern. The pen measures 13 cm capped. There are no cracks, scratches or bite marks and the chrome plating on the clip and lever is good. The pen closes firmly with a single turn. The barrel imprint is crisp and clear. The original Conway Stewart 14 carat gold nib is a firm medium. A new sac has been fitted and the pen fills and writes well (see writing sample).

A splendid writer and a very pretty pen in one of Conway Stewart's best patterns.
