    Eversharp Symphony 917 (Stock#2974)

This glossy black Eversharp Symphony 917 measures 13.7 cm capped. It dates from the early 50s. There are no cracks, scratches or bite marks and the pen closes firmly with one and a half turns. The gold plating is good on the broad cap band and lever but shows some signs of wear on the clip. A new sac has been fitted and the pen fills and writes well (see writing sample). The 18 carat gold nib suggests that it was made for the French market. The nib is a semi-flexible medium.

An uncommon pen and an excellent writer.
