    Swan 1500 Eyedropper Filler (Stock#2815)

This Swan 1500 eyedropper is around 100 years old but is in good condition. The pen measures 13.8 cm capped. The black hard rubber is very slightly faded. There are no cracks or bite marks but there is a shallow scratch a couple of millimetres above the barrel imprint (see photo). Though there is some slight wear from use the machined pattern is clearly visible on the barrel and the barrel and cap imprints are clear. The push fit cap closes firmly. The section/barrel threads are good and the pen holds ink well without leaking. The pen was originally clipless but an accommodation clip has been fitted. It shows some plating loss. The original 14 carat gold New York Mabie Todd Swan nib is a semi-flexible medium stub. The pen fills and writes well (see writing sample) and a pipette is provided to fill the pen.

A century-old fountain pen in very good condition and a superb writer.
