    Canadian Parker Premiere (Stock#3159)

This is a Canadian Parker Premiere, one of the 1930s thrift pens. Though sold at a lower price than the Duofold to meet the requirements of the times, these remain very well made pens in attractive colours. This example is in a subtle blue/black marble. The gold plating is good on the clip but shows some wear on the cap band. There are no cracks, major scratches or bite marks. The pen closes firmly with a single turn. The barrel imprint is clear. The button filling system has been restored and the pen fills and writes well (see writing sample). The 14 carat gold Parker nib is medium with quite a bit of flexibility.

A delightful 1930s button filler and an exceptional writer.
