This Waterman 515 shows signs of long use but remains a handsome pen. The pen measures 13.3 cm capped. There are no cracks, major scratches or bite marks and the pen closes firmly with one and a half turns. The gold plating is good on the clip and lever box but shows wear on the cap ring. The barrel imprint is clear. A new sac has been fitted and the pen fills and writes well (see writing sample.) The 14 carat gold Waterman W5 nib is a firm medium.
Waterman’s prestige pen of the 40s and a very nice writer.
